A stay stitched together by ritual, river, and reverie.

At The Voyager, there’s no itinerary, only invitation.

An invitation to slip out of urgency and into rhythm. To follow the sway of the tides.

To listen to the hush between the birdsong. To be held by stillness, while the world continues softly on.

Nestled on the Esperance River in the quiet coastal town of Dover, The Voyager is both a sanctuary and a starting point - where you can linger long in slow mornings or follow a whisper into the wilderness. Whether you’re wrapped in a robe or laced up for adventure, this is a place that meets you gently, wherever you are.

Begin your days in stillness - barefoot in the garden, a warm cup in hand, watching the mist lift slowly off the river. As the sun stretches across the sky, you might wander to the hammock with a book, let the warmth soak into your skin, or slip into the outdoor twin tub as bubbles rise and birds call through the treetops. The indoor clawfoot bath offers its own kind of magic: candlelit, rain-speckled, perfectly still.

For those drawn to movement, the river awaits. Glide across the water in one of our kayaks or cast a line from the private jetty and let time drift with the tide. When the spirit of exploration calls, The Voyager is a perfect base for discovering Tasmania’s southern wilds - rainforest walks to Adamsons Falls, warm soaks and silent caves at Hastings, windswept beaches at Cockle Creek, alpine air at Hartz Mountain, and sky-high trails at Tahune Airwalk. Even Bruny Island isn’t far, with its wild coastlines, artisan fare, and ferry-crossed charm.
